More than 1,000 domain names have been created in Kenya in just one month. Statistics from Kenic indicates that most of the websites created were for people intending to start online business. Web hosting companies have equally benefitted from the surge in the number of Kenyans starting online business.

We are also informed that more than 300 Kenyans moved their websites from Kenyan hosting companies to foreign companies, the greatest beneficiary being Bluehost.A total of 107 websites owned by Kenyans were moved to Bluehost, others that benefitted include Godaddy,Hostgator and Nemecheap.
We expect the number of new websites to rise as we approach the month of February 2020.
