You cannot enroll for CPA directly with a D+ or D plain in KCSE, the minimum required grade is C+.However, you can only do CPA with D+ or D plain if you possess the following qualifications:
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education with atleast two principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education level or equivalent qualifications,
- Kasneb technician, diploma or professional examination certificate or a degree from a recognized university, or IGCSE mean grade of C in 6 papers.
In case you score C plain and below, enroll for a certificate course at Kasneb, complete within one year then enroll for CPA.
Most people who pursue CPA often start with Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) which takes approximately one year to complete.With this qualification,Kasneb will allow you to register for CPA.
