How Much Does Tuko News Charge for Advertisement

Tuko News is one of the most popular blogs in Kenya. The news site receives over 20 million monthly page views and more than 8 million unique visits. Most companies would want to advertise business with the blog but are not sure how much they charge.

Last year,2019, one of my friends wanted to advertise his electronic business he had just launched, he approached Tuko for advertisements. He was given a quotation of Ksh 600,000 per month for header banner, Ksh 400,000 for side bar banner and Ksh500,000 for a banner inside the posts. That gave me a rough idea of how much the company charges.

Another friend wanted to place four banners, two at the sidebars another one inside the posts and the last one at the header, he was given a quotation of Ksh1.5 million per month.

One thing I know is that Tuko is not rigid as other blogs, there is always room for negotiations. If they quote Ksh 500,000 per month, you can negotiate up to Ksh 300,000.

Their banner adverts cost Ksh 300,000 to Ksh 700,000 per month. But there are special cases, especially when someone wants the advert to stay for a long period in the website, they can charge as little as Ksh 250,000 per month but you have to pay for one year.

You can also place sponsored articles on tuko News. The site charges Ksh 7,000 to Ksh 30,000 per sponsored article. The more articles you post the cheaper the price. The average price you should pay is Ksh15,000 per sponsored article.

It’s cheaper to advertise on Tuko than Standard Digital or Nation. Standard would charge Ksh 30,000 per sponsored post and Ksh700,000 for a single banner per month.
