Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has revealed the amount of money he makes from his YouTube channel. The MP posts content on his channel and so far he has accumulated 176,000 views. With all these views, he earned Ksh 5,400 only which is equivalent to $43.44.
Salasya’s YouTube channel has 8,659 subscribers an it’s growing.
From his low income, it’s clear that if his account gets 1 million views, he will earn less than Ksh 50,000. For him to earn Ksh100,000 monthly, he has to get over 10 million views.
The only way to boost his revenue is by attracting views from USA where 1 million views generate Ksh 1 million and above income
YouTube is not a gold mine; you have to do serious work in order to earn decent income.
