How much money can you make from affiliate marketing in Kenya

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money in Kenya. Before anyone becomes a content creator and joins the industry as a marketer, they have to know the amount of money to make from affiliate marketing. It’s common to hear stories of people making money through AdSense but rarely do you hear people revealing the amount of money they make from affiliate programs. Below are testimonies of income generated from affiliate marketing by Kenyan bloggers.

Venas News owner

“I own Venas News, a site I have been running since 2013.Initially, I was focusing on AdSense and my income was Ksh 150,000 to Ksh 200,000. In 2017 I switched to affiliate marketing. I promote betting companies and web hosting providers. My monthly income at the beginning was not good, by 2018 I was making Ksh 80,000. The income rose sharply and by 2021 I was generating Ksh 400,000 to Ksh 500,000 from affiliate marketing alone. A couple of years later, my income stands at between Ksh 600,000 and Ksh 800,000. This is affiliate income alone. When I combine sponsored content and other sources of income, you can guess how much I make.

I think many Kenyans aren’t aware that this is a lucrative field. It’s even better than AdSense.”

I own three blogs which are focused on affiliate marketing. I generally market Amazon and Jumia products. Amazon pays me Ksh 350,000 to Ksh 500,000 monthly while Jumia generates for me Ksh 120,000 to Ksh 150,000. I have been promoting these companies for more than 5 years and built a strong relationship with my readers.

My monthly traffic is 100,000 to 150,000. I mostly get traffic from Google, social media and email subscriptions.

Web hosting affiliate marketer

I don’t do 100% affiliate marketing. I own a niche blog which provides information about web hosting and making money online. I monetize through AdSense, sponsored content, product sales and affiliate marketing. My monthly traffic is 300,000 to Ksh 500,000.

I promote Hostpinnacle, Kenya website Experts, Host Africa and other companies. My monthly income from web hosting affiliate programs is Ksh 80,000 to Ksh 120,000.

My AdSense account generates Ksh 60,000 to Ksh 100,000 monthly”

Well, affiliate marketing is not an easy, you have to work hard in order to make money. You cannot make money without making sales.

For you to succeed in affiliate marketing, focus on a particular topic and become the authority in that industry.

One good thing about affiliate marketing is that traffic required to make money is not high. Even with 10,000 relevant traffic, you will make over Ksh 100,000.
