Google rolled out the 2024 core algorithm which completely retired millions of bloggers. Some bloggers saw their sites being deindexed while others lost over 90% of traffic. Ever since the roll out of the algorithm, all sites that were negatively affected have not recovered. The algorithm favours big sites online. Small bloggers don’t have a space online unless they own social media pages with millions of followers.
LONG TAIL KEYWORDS DON’T MATTER ANYMORE
It’s like SEO is completely dead. Up to 2024 publishers researched or long tail key words, they published content based on those keywords which topped on Google search. But from 2024, even if your content answers the question perfectly, it will be indexed through luck.
NO ROOM FOR NEW BLOGS
None of your new blog posts will be indexed or ranked above posts from big sites. This means that making money from AdSense is almost impossible because your content won’t be visible to anyone.
CHANGING FROM CPC TO CPM
The idea of changing from CPC to CPM has also killed blogging. During the time of CPC, 1,000 views could generate even more than $100.But after the introduction of CPM, bloggers must get a lot of traffic for them to earn decent income.
IMPACT OF AI
Another reason you will probably not make money through AdSense is the impact of AI. Instead of people searching for content on Google they go to AI. This had denied blogs a lot of traffic. It’s obvious that when your blog doesn’t have traffic, you’ll never make money.
